OUR NEW ADVENTURE BEGINS.

Welcome to our new blog and website.  Beach Chic Design by Amy Johnson Interiors.

Hi!  I'm Amy Johnson, a wife of 25 years and mother of two college boys and one adorable thirteen year old girl.  I've decided to start a new adventure in blogging and what better place to begin our new journey than at the iconic Beverly Hills Hilton where we are  attending the Design Bloggers Conference.  I included this picture because this is the view as I write our very first blog post.    Beach Chic Design began at my kitchen table 10 years ago, 2008, arguably the worst time to start a new business and certainly the worst time to begin a luxury oriented business.  Ten years later, Beach Chic Design is still going strong.  We've been honored to create many beautiful residential and commercial spaces while growing our skills and passion along the way.  I attribute our success to holding true to basic business principles I learned at business school, one of which is that successfully businesses adapt to changing markets.  One big market change is occurring in the growth of social media and online presence.  When we first began Beach Chic Design (BCD) we used our blog to share progress on projects, then we got so busy with the business growing that we stopped blogging. We've decided to start blogging again but in addition to writing about our projects we plan to blog about our other passions: cooking, entertaining, and fashion, and anything else that peaks our interest along our travels.  We will blog as much as we can but you can also follow us on instagram, beachchicdesign.  Thanks for stopping by and welcome to our new adventure.
